chances ........

Hello, I'm an Asian (Chinese) male at one of Texas' top private schools.

Currently I have sent in applications to (in order of interest):

Northwestern University
Claremont Mckenna College
Washington University in St. Louis
Emory University
University of Southern California
Princeton (I applied here for fun, I know I'm not getting in)
Boston University
Tufts University
Lehigh University

I have about a 3.567 GPA which is pretty solid for my school (it's tough!)

SatI: 1440 (660V/780M)
SatII: 710 Math IC, 720 Literature, 740 Writing

Essays are decent I hope, I worked pretty hard on them.

ECs: my resume isn't stacked with loads of commitments, but I have done a few things that have required alot of time and work

Tennis - was ranked top 75 in my state during my sophomore year, I received 4 varsity letters for tennis at my school.

Work - I've worked retail for the past year and a half at about an average of fifteen hours a week

Volunteering - For the past year and a half i've volunteered at a children's hospital every weekend

Four year inductee into Latin Honor Society
S.M.I.L.E for children volunteer
Ping pong club
Chess club
add more worthless stuff ad nauseum

any comments? thank you

help!................

Tufts University In
Lehigh University In

thank you liek.. any more comments?

y the Ic?? y not iic??? you'd probably get higher seems as you have 780M

i took iic it didnt go so hot. i dont know why my math score was so high, i just got lucky, but my verbal is usually higher. i'm not very good at math even though im asian :)

any more help? :)

emory and washington st. louis seems good for u because of ur sat score. but dont know abour ur gpa. if thats weighted, forget it. UW? then ur in i think.

hmm... im not sure if my school does the whole weighted thing, can someone explain it to me?

i mean, that's the GPA that showed up on my cumulative transcript.. however I must mention that my school gives a 1 quantum bump (like if you have a B+, you get bumped to the next highest grade which would be an A-) for honor and AP classes.

hmmmmm..........

At Emory i'd say you have a pretty decent chance. Even though your GPA is a bit low, your other accomplishments may override it.
