if anyone has advice on other schools that i might like id appreciate it, or on my chances. i like how amherst doesnt have required classes outside the major and schools with good art programs (even though i want to be an anthropology major)

Schools that don't require SATs like Bowdoin and Middlebury would be good choices.

Amherst is a mammoth, colassal reach. So is Brown. As for the rest:

Haverford - Reach
Wesleyan - Reach
Sarah lawrence - Match
Hampshire - Match

If you like the Amherst MA area, you might want to take a look at UMass - Amherst. It's a decent state school and you'd have a good chance of getting in. Also, you'd be able to take classes at Amherst, Hampshire, and the other schools nearby.

And, as Suze wrote, you might want to look at schools that don't require SATs.

connecticut colllege doesnt require SATs, and has an active equestrian club

A hispanic val could have a shot at all these schools.

Bates is also SAT-optional.
