I'm a junior right now...My junior yr grades are estimated off my 1st quarter grades...Thanks

GPA: 3.45UW/3.76W
PSAT: 188
RANK: Top 5%

Courses: HL Pre-Calc, AP Calc, AP English, AP US History, HL Chem, HL Span 3, AP English, AP Stats, AP Gov/Econ, AP Psych

EC's/Community Service/Awards: Tennis, CSF (VP), VBall Club (Treasurer), Sign Language Club, Foreign Foods Club (VP), Journalism (Entertainment Editor), Early Academic Outreach Program, Relay 4 Life, Key Club (VP), Random Acts of Kindness Club, Recycling Club, Certificate of Scholastic Achievement, Circle B Athletic Award, Block B Academic Letter, and "Most Consistent Player" - Tennis.

Also 2 immediate family members had/have cancer during my high school years.

The course work looks fine. The grades look fine in combination with the course work.

youll get in. you need to be half brain dead not to get accepted and you are far better than that

Actually, if one misses the SAT or ACT minimums it's pretty next to impossible, so I hear.

Youre in. Your percentile will get you in alone.

At least 1100 SAT (M+CR) or a 24 ACT.

See: FSU freshmen requirements

Not to rain on your parade, but remember those minimums are generally for in-state kids. I'd try for the best you can get. Also take as many APs as you can.

Good luck!

Also - in Florida a class rating in the top 20% will get you in to A state university in Florida, but it may not be your choice...

They aren't exactly "requirements" since I know plenty of people who didn't have 1100's who got in and their courseload and grades weren't anything out of the ordinary.

Regardless of what you may think other students have, surpass the university minimums. Especially if you're out-of-state.

If the Provost says the average SAT is 1220, there aren't that many kids under 1100. ;)
