Other-
I go to high school in India but I am a US citizen so I will be applying as a domestic applicant. I'm interested in EECS at Berkeley. which is probably the hardest to get into.:(

Can you guys give me some sort of rough percentage chances? Appreciate it.

Hm..if you were in-state I'd say for sure, but Cal is so weird with their admissions that I don't know. You are definitely qualified but are also similar to maaaany other Cal applicants. However your class rank will be a definite pull. The acceptance rate - don't quote me on this, I'm pulling it from the top of my head but I do know it's around 24%. That is the average, it's a bit higher for Californians and probably a bit lower for out of staters. I don't see why you wouldn't get in unless they have a weird thing going on with their admissions which they sometimes do.

yeah, i don't know how out-of-staters work. But if you had been an in-state, you would definietely have qualied for Regents/Chancellors.

umm. i think i qualify for in state cause i was born in cali and we have a house there. my dad lives there most of the year and we travel there for three months of the year. does that make me in-state?

This is the link to UC Berkeley's Legal Residence Information:

heh you're most probably in..berkeley is no where as hard to get into as it's made out to be..seriously

thanks Golden Bear. woot!!! , i qualify as a california resident.:D you just made my day.

Much obliged to be of your service. Time to write that lousy Celtic Studies essay...
