<p>well, it seems like colleges look more favorably on depth rather than breadth - I'm a "member" in some other clubs, but truly dedicated to these. What's the point in spending little time on lots of clubs as opposed to loving a few clubs?</p>
<p>Yeah, I agree. Besides, you put "summary." Summary isn't listing everything you've ever been a part of. Your ECs aren't spectacular, but they're strong. Good leadership, etc.</p>
<p>well im multiethnic (.5 italian and .5 vietnamese) and i used it as a hook of sorts in my essay to nyu. i didn't dwell on it but i made mention of it. but i must admit i was debating it too. but i thought of it this way...if they rejected you on the circumstances that you used it as a hook then their not really encouraging diversity which every school seems to claim. if anything by mentioning it then you are identifying with your cultures and are probably more likely able to add to the ethnic pool. if you don't embrace your ethnicity then what alternate perspective can you contribute? you're just another good student. by mentioning it then your a good student and able to fulfill their ethnic diversity promise. right?</p>
