chances

I had my interview two months ago & I absolutely love this school. What do you think my chances are? I posted in the chances board but not many people responded about Barnard. I’m a little worried because my GPA/scores aren’t exceptional. I know this isn’t a guarantee, but I’m just curious to see how I compare.
I’m also applying to UCLA, USC, UCI, UCSD, & Claremont McKenna, & some others. Thanks!

Please know I am just a mom of a Barnard student, so my evaluation of your chances is really not worth that much.

Your grades and your involvement at school look good and pretty intense. Hopefully, your essay is a great one and you managed to convey passion for one of your many EC's, as I think you probably need to do that to make yourself a "standout" in their minds. Barnard is really great at looking at the complete application package, not just test scores, so that is a factor in your favor as you probably are thinking yours are not "great" (which anyone would do if you spend enough time reading these boards....CUH-RAZY scores reported all over the place here!).

All that being said, as you know, admission to Barnard is increasingly competitive. It looks like you are applying to several other schools and I am sure, if Barnard does not work out for you, you will end up with a very good match. Easier said than done, but try not to stress too much over this...

Best to you!
