Chances

Hey, just wondering what my chances would be. I will be applying to computer science first choice, and CIT second choice.

Test scores:
SAT: 2250 math 800 writing 760 reading 690
ACT: 34
SAT IIs: math 2 800, Physics 800, Bio 720 Chem 680 World history 580 (don't ask)

7 APs taken

GPA: 92 unweighted, or about a 3.86.

Top 10% of a very competitive high school

2 very good teach recs
1 recommendation from a Columbia professor

ECs/Awards:
art/community service club
volunteering at a soup kitchen in the bronx
tutoring
work at kohl's 20 hrs/week
saferides-officer
captain of school robotics team
participated in and won 1st place at a robotics program at UPenn over the summer
NHS
National honor roll
National merit commendation
a few school wide awards
chemistry classes at columbia on saturdays

I think you have a solid chance of being admitted to both SCS and CIT, but don't count on receiving merit money because CMU is notoriously random and sometimes quite stingy with financial aid.

Your stats are outstanding and very competitive, but you probably already know that. So, why do you ask ?

Pretty much because I have no knowledge of the admissions statistics for computer science at CM. I do know that it's top 3 in the country, so I didn't know if i would make the cut.
