3 years of Democrat Club
3 years of Republican Club
3 years of World Politics Club
2 years of Community Service Club
3 years of Varsity Baseball
1 year of Junior Varisty Football
1 year of Varsity Football

He wants to apply to:
Stanford (STRONG legacy. His cousin or something goes here and is graduating and they have asked him to PLEASE stay and become a professor. Aunt is also a professor)
John Hopkins
Cornell (Grandfather went here)
Syracuse (Step father and Uncle graduated from here)
Duke
Colgate
UCLA
UF
Boston College
NYU

Thanks in advance!

Honestly the best thing he has going for him is his connections..
Low number of APs...with not the best GPA, and his SAT should be better to improve his chances at schools like Johns Hopkins, Duke, Cornell, and BU..for the other schools they are okay.
None of his activities make him stand out from the crowd to terribly much, except for the fact that he is in both Democrat and Republican club... I would definately provide an explanation in his apps.
It really is hard to tell.. with out the connections the only real safety he has is UF, NYU and Syracuse seem to be a match, and the rest all seem like a reach.
Best of luck!

Needsomehelp:

UCLA: Reach (out of state)

How about in-state? Would it be a reach then? He has also informed me I have the grades wrong.

It is 3.3 UW F, 3.8 UW S, 3.9 UW J

its BC, NOT BU, please dont confuse them....he would get into BU but probably not BC

Anybody else?

why would u be doing this for ur neighbor...but anyway...you have to provide writing score or its hard to determine...since i mean i myself would have a pretty high sat 1 score if i only added crit and math...but with writing my score becomes lame...so its hard to judge...

Because I told him about the site and he asked if I could ask for him.
