Chances?

if anyone would like to give me some ideas, i would really appreciate it. here's the big stuff:

gpa=4.435 (grades 9-11, weighted, don't know unweighted, but i've gotten 3 b's or b+'s overall (talking about individual semesters))
top decile

sat: cr 780; ma 740; wr 800 (one sitting)
sat II: math II 710; span 740; lit 750

my sister went to berkeley, grad '06 (does this matter?)

jv basketball (9,10)
varsity cross country (10,11) mvp-11
track (10)
had to stop running (track/xc) because of an injury after junior year, which i'm writing about for 600 word

editor of features section of paper
ap scholar w/ honor
national merit semifinalist

now i'm doing tutoring and taking a spanish class at a community college (which i really haven't been going to lately...so my grade is definitely terrible, but i'm not submitting any kind of transcript for it -- should i worry about this?)

oh and i'm a girl, i'm white but i won't put down my race because i don't think i should have to, and i live in the bay area (peninsula)

i think that's it...

another thing...

considering these stats, how amazing do my essays have to be? i like my 600 word, but i'm not sure about the 200 word essays i've written. i've heard that berkeley readers really don't even spend that much time with the essays. is this true?

they read the essays, they're important, they can help your app alot. it tells the adcom who you are, and to see if your a good fit; not just academically but personally.

They don't care if you have good character. They just want to see if you are an underrepresented minority they can get in past the affirmative action ban.

you're fine..most likely in
