ur 26 ACT may get you in, since thats around a 1200, but if your SAT was close to a 1250, ud def be in. look, if ur parents r gonna donate 5 million or more, then forget it, ur def in.

Don't you claim to be Asian with SAT's in the 2200 range in another post?

What are my chances for the Langsdorf fellowship in Engineering if I have:

3.95 UW GPA and top 10% of class,
SAT: 2280
SAT II: MATH II 800, Physics 800
ACT: 33

I have taken AP Physics B my Junior year and got an average of 99% (A+) in the class in a pretty competitive public high school.
I also scored a 5 on the test.
I am also an AP Scholar with Distinction.

I have no research experience.

I will also take the AP Physics C exam this year without taking the course because my school does not offer it.
Also, so far, I have a 98% in Calculus BC in my first quarter of Senior year.
Also, I am a NMSF, and my physics teacher will do one of the recs for me.

Major ECs:
Started a Tutoring Club
Teach Sunday School
BAYSO (regional orchestra)
Tennis (JV)
School Orchestra
Tutored (Math for a summer).
Also received Bausch and Lomb award.

well, the hypothetical not only has URM, also legacy, Recruit, and developmental admit status. Note that he also applied early. The averages chances of such an applicant at HYPS is probably, I would guess, at least 90%. But the stats (GPA and SATs) are just too low... so it is probably a hard dilemma for HYPS. (BTW, there are probably people like this out there).
