You should think of applying to some ivies, not anything yours choices though, they're all great schools

I'm really in love with Columbia and I applied early but I was deferred, so I'm going to try and do some interesting things between now and regular decision-time because it's definitely my first choice. Thanks so much for responding!

Kinda lame EC's, at least compared to the rest of profile. What school? Im in MD too, so if I know the school, I can know what your rank means and give you better chances.

Yeah, my ECs definitely are a bit lame. Do you think my chances for Columbia will increase in the RD round if I have some of my poetry published or win some kind of theatre/literary award? This is all totally speculative (and I don't want to jinx myself, haha).

I think you are in at all those schools...You will surely get some scholarship money from UMD

Does anyone know about the Honors/Scholars program at MD? How competitive is it?
