NHS. i am just wondering what my chances are getting in. and if anyone visited or goes here, can you please debate or talk about the schools strenths and weaknesses. And please tell me what i can do different or scedual changes for next year.thanks a lot!

It's so hard to say what or how to get into SLC because admittance into this school so heavily depends on the quality of your admissions essay. But as far as you stats go, you seem like you’re on the right track.

Average GPA: 3.6

SLC Stresses a strong curriculum in both writing and English, so challenge yourself next year by taking AP Literature.

ok. thanks. we are making our senior year schedules. I have signed up for: AP Language and Comp. , AP Gov and politics, Math 4A, Statistics. is that ok, i now its not a full schedule but i would rather work hard in these classes. I might sign up for creative writing and theater (each a semester). But i dont think i will unless i dont take stats. Is it ok that i am not taking a science, thats why i might take two maths? I love math and hate science, probably because of the teachers.

It sounds like you have a good, well-rounded schedule planned for next year. However, it's always best if you take four years of science, but like you, I can definitely see why you wouldn't want to take a science class (or a math class for that matter). Upon being faced with college decisions, you should take your required classes. But you should also feel free to take the type of classes you want to take...bask in senior freedom …so to speak.
Therefore, I don't think missing a year of science will deter your chances of acceptance into SLC, but honestly I'm not sure. Maybe you should try calling the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Sarah Lawrence and get a more concrete answer from them. Sorry, my answer is so vague.

thanks...i agree..there average is a 3.7 out of 4. and i am wondering what that is. there is no universal gpa scale at my school. we normally grade out of 100. does anyone know what a 3.7 is?
