My School NEVER sends anyone to HARVARD, EVER. is there such a thing as "blacklisting" a school?

Your SATs are your weakness? I don't think so. You're in a very acceptable range. If I were you, I would spend a lot of time on your essays. Don't discount their importance.

lol ky my ** LAST NAME DOES GIVE IT AWAY!!** WAAAH :(

so im gonna have to put bi-racial anyway, or they will obviously be suspicious.

but under the "LANGUAGES" section, i mentioned that I was fluent in ** SPANISH and** KOREAN. i can read, write and speak both. Would that help me?

yes, look you're scores are perfectly fine, and the two different cultures would make a great essay. i would make sure your essays are well written and hope for the best b/s remember everyone on these boards is qualified in their own way, who will be admitted though is unpredictable :)

So maybe he should sent some sort of proof that he is hispanic?

I'd really like a definite answer on this, are you considered URM if you are 1/2 hispanic? To what extent? and what should you do if your name doesn't show it?

Oh no, lol, I am not sure of that at all. I am asking whether you should send proof. I am in a similar boat as yourself and I am wondering what is it I should do as well, when the time comes.

ok, so I keep hearing that coming from an "underprivileged" background helps.

well, my dad is a missionary in Africa right now, and I actually haven't seen him since 7th grade. so he has no income, and spends all his time teaching tribes to conserve water, plant more efficiently, etc...and my mom works all day, but we still make less that 20k a year. i think i talked about my dad being an inspiration to me and everything in my additional app. but i dunt think HARVARD would be able to see our insanely low income when making decisions.

so could this "tip" me over the edge into the green zone?

well if you mention your income in the app then they will know, no? Other then that, I think they wouldn't know since they are "need-blind" apparently.
