-I've done alot of theater, work, internships and volunteering outside of school. I have an exchange student staying with me this year and i did an abroad program last year over the summer. I also sent in supplementary materials of my art and film. I already was rejected from Tufts, which was expected, but I REALLY want to get into Wesleyan, even though I know the odds are against me.

Feb. 16th is my birthday, which is a day after I will find out about Wesleyan...so I'm really hoping it will be a good birthday. please let me know my odds so I can prepare for the worst if necessary. Thanks!

Did you emphasize your film and theater goals in your application? With Wesleyan's outstanding programs in those areas I suspect they'd be open to someone with evidence of a creative spark, even if their traditional scores and stats fell toward the lower end of the school's scale.

i did emphasize both in my supplementary materials that I sent them, I hope that will help me out

At the very worst, you'll get deferred, which is definitely not the end of the world. No worries, though. Happy Birthday.

makemyday, you did just make my day hah thank you!

i would say you have a pretty good chance but honestly i really have no idea. i did maybe 1/4 of all your activities but scored higher on my tests and got in regular last year. one of my really good friends got into U Chicago early decision (aka one of the toughest schools to get into) and yet got waitlisted at Wes (she eventually got in). so.. just chill out, have a happy birthday, and stop worrying because you've already done all you can do. enjoy senior year instead!
