varsity tennis all 4 years, captain
mock trial- 4 years
madrigal singers-2 years
symphonic choir-3 years
vocal jazz- 3 years
show choir- 4 years
boy scouts-3 years
about 200+ hours of community service
part time job</p>
<p>my dad got his PhD from columbia and my sister is currently working on hers...im the failure of the family haha</p>
<p>essays- pretty good
recs- very good</p>
<p>do i have a shot?? i know my test scores are low for columbia...especially with their low admittance rates this year...great...lol</p>
<p>haha i dont think they were biting my head off but i mean its true...i did take the SAT's but they were honestly horrible...like i couldn't even get into community college with them, ok maybe not that bad but my ACT was waaay better so they told me they would look at that over the sat's</p>

<p>this concerns me. First of all you aren't a legacy...grad school doesnt count in undergrad admissions...it'll all come down on whether they will overlook your SATI scores, dont necessarily believe what they tell you, if your SAT scores are really that low (1400 isn't low, i say this because u seem to be big on exaggerations)...however if they really arent that low you should have a pretty decent chance, your courseworks is quite impressive.</p>
