i think you're looking good, xtopher, with one caviat...i may be wrong, but i don't think the school has reported mean SAT values since they've begun including the writing section...do you know? also, is english not your first language? that can help! best of luck!

thanks, and yea english is my second language.

First generation college student and a URM is a great combination sought by many colleges. You should be in great shape for American U. Is English your first language or is Spanish? When listing SAT scores try to break out math and cr. reading as the writing section doesn't really mean much yet. If Spanish is your first language what are your thoughts regarding the Spanish AP exam and the SAT II Spanish exam?

spanish is my first language and the language that is spoken at home. I thnk I didnt get a higher score in spanish ap and SAT II because the voice recorder we have had a big south american and spanard accent and I am accustom to carribean spanish, which is very different. ( i always have a joke about it, "it like a new yorker trying to understand faulkner")
I had a 640 in math, 550 in cr reading and 500 in writing

AU is so incredibly international, it's gotta work for you! did you interview?

no i didn't but i personally know a person who works for Latino section in American, and I talk to her and I send them a resume of what I have accomplished

good for you, xtopher! best of luck to you! see who's the counselor at AU for your geographical area, email or call them, and see if you can connect. worth a try...take care!
