anyone ???? come on guys ?

come on guys any chance ?????

I may not be the most qualified person to ask (only a junior) but you seem to have good ECs, and being class president should help. Your SAT is pretty standard but it's good. Unfortunately your academics aren't like, the epitome of perfection but I think your ECs make up for it.

i don't know what you want to hear. yes, you have a chance. feel better? :)

hahah i just want honesty

You are definitely in the ballpark with a 1480/1600 and an unweighted GPA of 3.8. (Georgetown currently does not consider the writing score.) The thing about Georgetown is that its admission decisions are somewhat random. Wow them with your essays and interview well. Good luck!

jwalsh you sound like the perfect candidate...this coming from someone deferred early action. i applied with a 1450/2160 on the sats, a 4 and 5 on bio and history, a weighted 4.5, and i'm in the 97th %ile. and reading posts like yours kind of makes me realize my extracurriculars are really just imcomparable and sort of bordering on humorous. i'm giving up hope on georgetown but good luck to you! btw when do we find out?

You have TERRIFIC stats, except for your grades. A 3.83 and you are in the top 20%?! No offense, but it seems like your school makes getting good grades easy. For example, I have a 3.7 unweighted (which isn't great, I know), but I am ranked about sixth in my class.

But with that in my, I think you have a good chance at getting in (I, too, was deferred EA). Being a boy definitely helps. You have a very rigorous schedule and excelent ECs. I wouldn't worry too much. Apply EA, that way you have a better chance. It can't hurt.

mine school is ridiculous with its grading system and by no means it is easy to get an A ... Im in the hardest course load that my school offers but the rankings goes very weird. There is kids (10 or so ) above me that have a better GPA b/c they r in no honors or ap classes ... My school is stupid but thanks guys and i will apply EA

That is very unfair that they do not weight your GPAs accordingly. I would definitely have your rank if they didn't weight our GPAs.

hahaha i no
my weighted i figure is 4.5 ish

if you wrote a good essay and your interview went well, you've got a shot
if not, waitlist is a possibility
