I feel pretty confident about my chances, however Im getting a little worried because I applied around January 10th and still havent recieved anything back.

SAT: 1680/2400 (weak, I know!) M(590) V(520) W(570)
GPA: 3.88 - Top 5%
EC: 3 years B-ball, Youth group stuff every week, Church, NHS, job...(Im not really that involved in EC's though church and work take up a-lot of my time)

Is there anyone who was accepted/knows someone accepted with similar stats?

Is your gpa unweighted or weighted

unweighted, but I have AP chem, AP eng. 12, AP Calc, and some CHS classes

Yah I'm not sure. I think that LMU weights SAT's a lot in their decision because my friend just got rejected, and he had a 3.6 UW and a very tough schedule. Also a top 5% rank, and great ec's, recs, and essays. But her SAT wasn't very good. ~1000-1100

But just hope your gpa is good enough to get you in.

Ya, Im crossing my fingers. Initially my top school was Pepperdine, then I took the SATs and realized I had no chance, Im really bumbed I only took them once, I should have got a feel for what they were like my junior year, but oh well. I also applied to Santa Clara, do you know anything about it? Is it easier or harder to get into than LMU?

Oh, and one more thing... Is it a disadvantage for me to be an out of state student applying?

no disadvantage whatsoever...LMU is private school.

Yah I think Santa Clara is about equal in terms of admission. Did you still apply to Pepperdine?

I hope the SAT's don't wreck my chances to my favorite schools. I'm taking them tomorrow for the first time, and I know they will basically decide where I go to college.

Good luck with your schools. I think your gpa is strong enough to get you into one of your choices.

I havent heard back either!!
- 1710 SAT
-3.79 gpa
- Too much ec to list

My counselor called today and they said I should know by the 10th of April. Keep your fingers crossed!

April 10th! that sucks. MathFreak101, did you apply around the priority deadline? We seem to be pretty comparable as far as stats, you probably got me on ECs though. By the display name Im guessing your planning on going into some field of engineering or something, thats the field Im leaning towards and I heard LMU has a pretty good Math and Science department, do you know anything about it?

troyhampton, this is mathfreak101...i dont know why it posted me as that name earlier. I was at school and it must be someone else's who didnt log out...but this is my real one. Yeah, april 10th does suck, considering my second choice school that i already got into needs a $250 non-refundable housing deposit next week or else I dont get to live on campus!! Deciding is stressful, especially when you have to wait it out like this. I'm an athletic training/bio hopeful for lmu, I want to be a sports doctor. But hey, I'm visiting the campus again tomorrow so if I find anything out I'll be sure to post!
