Your GPA and SAT are significantly lower than the Michigan mean (unweighed GPA of mid 50% of enrolled students is 3.6-3.9 and mid 50% SAT range of enrolled students is 1830-2150 SAT). As such, I would say Michigan is a reach for you.

This said, you definitely have a shot, so don't give up. I would do the following:

1) Try to finish your year with as high a GPA as possible. Bust your behind to get as many As as possible.

2) If you think you have room for improvement, retake the SAT or if you think you are better suited for the ACT, take that instead. Either way, try to break the 1900 on the SAT or the 28 on the ACT.

3) Apply by early September at the latest!

4) Work really hard your senior year. There is a chance you may get deferred, in which case, your senior grades will play a major part in determining your chances.
