thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!

NYU is concerned primarily with grades and SAT scores. Study hard for the new SAT, your GPA should be ok. Definately do ED tho....what shcool you applying to

And now a little criticism on the awards thang

"- Editor choice award poetry.com
- published in top poets and poems of 2004
- Who's who among highschool students
- international soceity of who's who of poetry "

dont put these on college application... who's who is a money making scam with no real meaning

poetry.com is the same... i made a poem in 2 minutes because submitting a poem got me points in some game, and i won editors choice, and they also said they were putting me in some book, if thats the top poets thing, then thats bad too. The international whos who i dont know anything about it, but since its whos who it also probably has little worth. I'm not trying to underscore your accomplishments but putting awards like that may have the adverse effect of making it like u havent done anything major

they might not know about poetry.com.. and if you are strong in poetry, then highlight it any way you can.. submit to billions of competitions this year to get better feedback.

I agree with Matt here. Top colleges like to see major honors and activities you are truly involved in and passionate about, not some laundry list of who's who's listings.

These are the great actitivities I see in your record:

ECs:
"-Varsity winter track (10)
- Varsity Winter track manager (11)
- Varsity Lacrosse (9,10,11)
- horseback riding (5 years)
- viola (8 years)"

2 varsity sports and 2 activities you've spent years on...now those are things you want the NYU admissions board to see. Your leadership positions, and awards in competitions (eg the equestrian thing) should be listed as well.

Good luck and keep us posted.

ok thanks for the feedback!
