chances?

<p>i have had my eye on Wesleyan since sophomore year and want to attend. i plan on applying ED, what are my chances?
im the typical overachiever
i am 1st in my class and unlikely to give up my position. my class is very small though (35 kids). i live in northern New HAmpshire and go to public school. i have about a 3.8 GPA. will be taking 3 APs, school offers only 4, impossible to take all four, four years foreign language, ect.. i am a white male from lower middle class family. neither parent graduated from college. Sister goes to Connecticut College. have yet to take my SAT and SATII, ACT scores yet to be reported. i have participated in a variety of ECs,</p>

<p>Youth and Government 3years-YMCA mock legislation elected lobbyist this year
student Council- 2 years
Quiz Bowl- one year (offered only once)
Varsity soccer 3 years- will play senior year and most likely be captain
Class officer- Treasurer 3 years, most likely senior year too
ST. Pauls Advanced Studies Program this summer- World Religions
National Honor Society
soccer coach 2 years- coach rec. dept., will do same next year
tutor-2 years
awards given out at the end of this year, but good chances at math award, foreign language award, history award, and book awards- not all of them though</p>

<p>sorry i dont have test scores, but without that what are my chances at getting in?</p>

<p>You would make a very strong candidate. Wesleyan loves first generation college-goers (witness its new president, a Brooklyn native who went on to create the Claremont Colleges' humanities center.) But, I wouldn't ignore the SATs entirely. How good a soccer player are you? ;)</p>

<p>i am taking the SATs in May and the SATIIs in June, i hope to do well, around 2000. i am decent at soccer, but not good enough to get recruited by the team. not sure if i want to play varsity soccer in college, maybe just club soccer.</p>

<p>According to the statistics for the class of 2011 the median SAT verbal and math was 1440. Best of luck to you. Make sure you choose to take the alumni interview or go to campus for interview. It is evaluative and I truly believe it helped me gain admission into Wesleyan this year.</p>
