Good chance.

You are in, without a shadow of doubt

My daughter is there now on a Presidential Scholarship. Your stats seem above average and possibly eligible for scholarship, although the rank seems a little low. I don't really know if rank is an important measure for them though. Good luck!

You're in, easy. I have a 3.2 with a 1340 and got the University Scholarship.

youre in. I just got in today out of state (ca) with a 3.7 GPA, 1230 SAT, awsome ECs/recs

Any Hunt Scholar interview invitations?
Just wondering if anyone has received an invitation yet?

My daughter received a rejection for the Hunt Scholar program last week. Just 5 days before she received a letter saying that over 400 applied, it was taking longer than they thought....blah, blah, blah. She was disappointed but is still being considered for other scholarships so our fingers are crossed.

thank you caromom! I just received an email stating invitations for finalists already went out....but it troubles me that she did not get a letter at all....I worry that her essay and letter did not make it to the committee.
oh well, maybe other scholarships in addition to the merit will be offered.

My D got a University Scholarship, but will need much more for us to be able to afford SMU. She is applying to Theater and is hoping for a talent scholarship.

So did my D, but we are in the same situation. She is also being considered for the honors program, but I am not sure if there are any scholarships involved and she also applied for Methodist scholarships.
It is the most expensive school in Texas, but I believe, worth it.

I was reading the above posts about the Hunt Leadership Scholarship and have a few questions. My daughter has also been accepted EA for Fall 2006 and been awarded the University Scholar which is $3000. She has applied for the Hunt Scholarship also. Do you think it will help her chances for the Hunt Scholar that she has already been accepted early? SMU is a great school and that is her #1 choice, but unless she can get more money we are going to have to say no. =(
Does anyone have any personal experience with this program and where did you end up sending your children if the money did not come through in the form of scholarships?
Thanks in advance for any help!!!
