You have a lot going for you! But I think that you should focus more on schools that care less about the SATs because they are your weak point and NYU doesn't like low SATs

aw really?
oh dang, oh well its not my number 1 really, so its okay

your SAT's are not weak, unless you are applying to stern. i got in with a much less SAT total

well i wanna go for pre-med and im really not familiar with nyu, beacuse i dont hear about it much...is that stern, well isnt stern business?

re:nikkigirl12
your sat score is awesome. with your ec's you should get into nyu with no problem at all. trust me, i met people who scored lowered that 1100/1600 and still got accepted to nyu.

wing, you got into Tisch in a talent based program, no?

cool nyu - there are NOT a lot of people at NYU with 1100 SATs. You're just mad about something and puttiing NYU down whenever you can. deal.

Nikki - You are a great candidate. what I meant was - you can probably go to a lot of great schools (even better than NYU) that are less focused on the tests. I just saw a lot of people with great stats and around 1350 SATs getting GSPd this year.

take the test again in the fall.

Just to make things clear, I got into Tisch and they rely less heavily on scores than the other schools, but it is still a huge factor. I thought that my low SAT scores would prevent we from being a accepted, but they also look at EC's and your course load as well. And of course artistic ability for tisch kids.

^^oh yeah, your SAT scores are not bad at all!!

You have a great chance, a 1370 SAT would not keep you out of nyu.

I would say strengthen your SAT Is. Other than that, I'd be surprised if you didn't at least get GSP.

i don't think your SAT scores are that bad. however, try taking it again. It will only help. i think you can get in, especially since you're applying to CAS, not Stern (but i'm not even a freshman yet, so my word doesn't actually count). anyway, take the SAT again and rock it! That'll definitely increase your chances.

btw, your EC's and community service are woaw! great! i wish i had done that much! lol

Nikki didhi..

your stats are great.. WAYY Better than mine. I assume you will be applying to the college of ARts and Sciences cause your pre med. I just recieved admission this year into Arts and Science @ NYU with a scholarship, and my parents are well off indians. The only thing you should be worrying about how much more money of scholarship you will recieve. I'll see you there next year!

collegecheck-
i wasn't mad and i do know people who got in with just 1100 on the sat. also consider the amount of people who are in the heop and c-step programs. get your facts straight before judging other users on cc. cyber bullying is not cool =)
