International student
SAT: Maths 750, Verbal 640, writting 580
Course: 7 IB subjects with above average grades
Extra curricular: Just the normal stuff like lots community service, organizer of lion dance in school concert, a few this and that clubs where no leadership positions were held.
Recomendations: Probabily not outstanding because I am not exactly a teachers pet. Not terrible either

supern3rd,

I believe that, for the incoming Class of 2011, about 100 of 1,100 international applicants were admitted. That is less than a 10% acceptance rate...keep that in mind!

With that said, when comparing your SAT scores to those of admitted students of the Class of 2010 (http://www.lafayette.edu/admissions/requirements.html), your Math score is above-average, your Critical Reading (Verbal) score is average, and your Writing score is slightly below-average. Just know that Lafayette does not consider the Writing portion of the "new SAT" when making admissions decisions, which is good news for you.

The fact that you are taking a rigorous IB courseload will be looked upon highly by admissions officers. How well have you performed in those classes? I need more information in order to make any kind of projection.

Do you partake in any extracurricular activity that may set you apart from similar applicants? It sounds as if you have not devoted yourself to one/two major activities, which, from an Admissions standpoint, is more helpful in revealing an applicant's personality.

The teacher/counselor recommendations, unless they say something absolutely outstanding or exceedingly horrendous, won't add much to your application.
