Your extracurriculars look very good, and USD weighs in things like that much more than most schools, so that is good for ya. Your grades are decent, a tad lower than the USD average admit, but especially if you go to a very good school, you might be okay there. Your schedule looks tough, so that is good as well. I would definitely try getting the SAT higher though, because your quite a bit below the average admit. At this point I'd say that you have a solid shot. USD is probably a Match for you at the moment, but it will be a Strong Match if you up that SAT score.

two questions for you westcoast.

Would my chances increase greatly do you think if i went early decision to USD?

And is USD or Santa Clara harder to get into?
(Which school focuses more not on the numbers)

I would recommend applying early if you know that USD is one of your top choices. It may slightly increase your chances.

I would say that as of now, USD is harder to get into. USD's number of applications is increasing at an extremely high rate- definitely above that of Santa Clara.

could i get into LMU?

dukiess,

for LMU their avg. gpa is 3.4UW -- 3.6W and the average SAT is 1165 (M+CR)

So basically your gpa is on par and your SAT is slightly below. But with your ec's I think you could pull it off...just apply as early as possible.

And as for USD their average statistics are a little above LMU so apply early action, and write good essays.
