Chances?

I am a white female from a middle class NY suburb.
SAT: 630 CR, 620 W, 680 M (took without prep- will retake)
SATII: Took US History and Math I in June, likely got high 600's-low 700's
Grades: Range from 95 (freshman year) to 97/98 (junior year) overall. Will probably rank in top 10% of a class of over 400. Recs will be great, essay pretty decent I think.
APs: 5 on World History last year, took AP Language, European history, and US history this year (likely got 4's and 5's on all), next year AP Lit, Stats, Environmental, and Gov.
ECs: Science olympiad, literary magazine, copy editor of school newspaper next year, European club, Key club (50+ hours of community service), enrolled in prestigious science research program- did research at Hofstra U. last summer and this summer as well (will enter Intel and other comeptitions in the fall), 5-time All County Band/Orchestra selection on bassoon/bass clarinet, principal bassoonist in Molloy College community orchestra, volunteer in school pit band for drama productions, volunteering at library this summer

Would I get in? What are other LACs in New England you would reccomend? Also, would playing an odd instrument like the bassoon give me a leg up over other applicants?

Thanks! :)

your sat scores are a little low, but the rest of your application looks good- especially the science and music stuff. i think you have a good shot!

I just got my SAT II scores- 680 for Math I and 790 for US History.
Are there any other schools you would reccomend? Thanks!

Take a good look at Hamilton (upsate NY but still the New England feeling). I visited all of them alst year (Bates, Bowdoin, Middlebury, Colby and Colgate) and liked Hamilton the best. If you venture into Pennsylvania take a look at Haverford and Swarthmore.
