Just wondering what you think my chances at BC are and if theres anything you think I could do to strengthen my application…

white girl from NJ, private school

varsity basketball (9-12)
varsity lacrosse (10-12)
varsity soccer (10-11)
varsity field hockey (12)

elementary school volunteer (9-11)
student government- class treasurer and spirit committee (10-12)

Summers spent as camp counselors/lifeguarding

You are a good all-around candidate: Serious involvement in sport balance by student leadership, good SAT score (although a 1980 is still a bit shaky) so try and break at least the 2000 with the goal of 2100, and solid GPA. My second advice is really challenge yourself senior by taking solid AP/Honor classes and get at least an A- average. BC doesn't care about expressed interest so applying EA or not doesn't give you a boost, so apply whenever you feel your application is strong and complete. Good luck with your applicaiton.

I think you have a good shot...my daughters stats were similar tho SAT's were flipped V710, M600, W700 and had strong EC"s.....2 sports that she basically played year round My Daughter got in (app RD) and we were suprised as there were some with much more impressive stats were rejected/ waitlisted.. ITs a crap shoot..Incidentally we are from public HS class size 250 in NY and 4 other kids were accepted..all are going
