my uncle is receiving his PhD in Public Health there so i guess i have some sort of a connection
still have to take my SAT II's which i think i'll do really well on
not a lot of ec's/awards</p>
<p>i dont think i have a decent chance but the fact that my uncle goes there and columbia being an Ivy League school, i figured maybe the connection might boost my chances... what do you guys think?</p>

<p>You won't be a legacy, and I'm not sure that this will be considered due to the fact that you are first generation. Your scores will make it seem from this message board that you have an unlikely shot of gaining acceptance, however, you might as well take a look at the application and see if it can highlight your strong points.</p>

<p>No there is a chance that u may get in your uncle working at columbia may not be such a dependable way to get into Columbia i mean think about it i was accpeted with a 3.7 GPA without the help of somebody youll get in.</p>
