I’m hoping to go into medicine and these are my choices
also suggestion to other colleges are welcome

Northwestern University--match to slight reach (closer to slight reach).
Washington University in St. Louis--slight reach
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign--safe match to match (except as a business major--which doesn't apply to you)
University of Illinois Chicago--safety

You are close to Northwestern's cutoff, but your GPA is just a bit low. If you could get this up first semester, you have a chance there.

I would consider Colgate and Lafayette (not urban though) or Barnard (tough to get into) or Smith (if you don't mind an all-girls school) since they meet the financial challenges for most people who need the help. These are all liberal arts colleges that also offer sciences. Also, Scripps (in California) is excellent for pre-med, but I don't know about the financial situation if you get accepted there. My guess is they would pay about $25,000 of your $35,000 annual costs, but you would need loans or a work-study program to cover the balance--plus you would have a problem with the travel costs to the Los Angeles (actually Ontario) area.

Best of success.
