I am sorry but I do not think that you have a good chance of admission to FSU. Your GPA (as recalculated by FSU) is about a 2.7 and your SAT is a 1070. This is far below their standards for admission. Since there is little that you can do with your GPA at this point, you should work on your SAT's. If you got it up about 200 points and applied for summer then you may have a chance.
check out FSU's current admission requirements:

I agree with Seiclan. You might want to consider completing your associates degree at a community college and then try to transfer to FSU as a junior.

The web page above has NOT been updated. When we visited this summer, they have new MINIMUM ACT or SAT subscores now that are above those listed as minimums on the site. I cannot recall the SAT CR but the math is now 500 not 470, and they will not even consider an application now with subscores below their minimum, not even for summer. You can call or email, and admissions will give you the new numbers. My D has the pamphlet at home somewhere and if I locate I will post. Your math is OK as you have one over 500, I just can't recall the CR but I think your just squeak by on both accounts Writing WILL COUNT for 2009 but not for class of 2008.

Unfortunately, I don't think you are competative for FSU. It is a reach, but you won't get in if you never apply so go fo it. Just have a back up plan.

Just to let you know how competitive things are getting in Florida, FIU just announced that with the freeze on admitted students, they anticipate a 1200 will be needed for acceptance at FIU for fall 2008.

FSU is just a backup really. my first choice is purdue and i have a good chance since im applying earlier since its rolling admission. my real reach is cornell for ED.

Jimgotkp- you could also apply to UCF (the University of Central Florida in Orlando) for their hospitality management program. It has a wonderful reputation and "may" be slightly easier to get into than FSU. Check it out here:
http://ucf.edu/

I think you should start looking for a different "backup". It's going to be virtually impossible to get into FSU with your current stats. You could have chance if you significantly raised your SAT scores. Good luck with everything.

Here is a link to Purdue's Common Data Set. Your stats appear to put you in the bottom 25% of those accepted there, so that might be a bit of a reach as well. I'm sure it will help to apply early, but I agree with other posters that you need to look for a more solid safety. It looks as if FSU might be more difficult to get into than Purdue.

here is a list from college board of colleges that would be safety's and offer hospitality. in addition to the list, up here in new york in the adirondack region there is a college called paul smith's. it is a beautiful location (albiet cold) and i think you can get in here as well. great hospitality program. the owner of the Palm's steakhouse chain, went there and built a restaurant for students to work at and learn about the hospitality industry.

anyway... here is the list i came up with...
