bump. plz ne one

Your school seems to have extreme grade inflation. I dunno about your chances anywhere and please let us know how your weighted GPA is above a 5. If you are getting more points for AP recalculate on a 5 point scale. Jesus, if kids ever had grades like that at my school. The thought of grades that high is just ridiculous. Especially in AP classes!!?? My god. If you are a genius and soon to become one of this generations greatest young minds, I apologize for what I have said lol. Hopefully geniuses of the future don’t get 2020’s on their SAT’s. It really disturbs me that there is such a great disparity in grading between high schools. Your grades are simply impossible in my school and most others that I know of. Sorry if I am coming off as a rude punk. It just amazes me how kids get it so easy outside of where I live.

Here’s the thing: You got a perfect score in AP US History but a 4 on the exam. A 4 isn’t bad, but it’s really not what a perfect grade in a class should be producing. This would, in my opinion, explain the disparity between your impressive GPA and your less-impressive test scores.

You don’t need a perfect GPA to get into a top school, so calm down about the one 83 on your record. That said UChicago, Northwestern, JHU, and maybe the UT program are reaches.

WashU I think you’ll get if you show interest because you’re not quite outstanding enough for them to question whether or not you’d attend. And I think you’ve got a great shot at Rice.

If my school had extreme grade inflation then i would have had nothing less than those grades for both my fresh and sophmore years. The truth is i work really hard to get those grades, they are like the highest grades ne one can get at my school.I just seemed to like US history thats why i spent about 3-4 hrs on it every night. Our class was basically all tests and i can memorize stuff for tests pretty well. I am a pretty lazy person when it comes to studying for AP/SAT tests. Oh yea and my GPA is on a 6.0 scale for Pre-AP/AP so it isnt really that high, sorry i didnt state that before. The highest GPA in our class is around a 5.6 so mine is nothing compared to that. And my test scores r being worked on and i have done practices in which i have gotten above 2150 (That number just didnt come out of nowhere).thanks for ur replies.

Sorry GPA is actually on a 5.0 scale but AP/Pre-AP is weighted as 6.0.

If your screename is “engineering?” I don’t think you’ll enjoy Chicago’s nonexistent engineering department.

bump again.

last bump. please.
