CHANCES AT:

Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Michigan State
Minnesota
Ohio State
Purdue
Wisconsin

You'll get in at Purdue. They have a ridiculously high acceptance rate.

For Illinois (assuming Urbana-Champaign) it kind of depends what part of the state you are from and what major. I am in one of the Chicago suburbs, and at my school, you need 29+ for normal admission and 32+ for engineering n(generally).

I think you have a good chance at Indiana/Iowa/Michigan State. They aren't as selective as some other Big Ten schools

Michigan Ann Arbor, for instance, would be a no go.
Wisconsin and OSU are probably a reach. Also, don't expect much financial aide from any out of state public (or merit aide from UIUC).

Please, I really want replies.

being from NY, michigan state is the only one i know a significant amount about because that is my first choice for a school, and i think you have a very good chance there.

Illinois - Accepted
Indiana - Accepted with Scholarship
Iowa - Accepted with Scholarship
Michigan State - Accepted with Scholarship
Minnesota - Accepted
Ohio State - Accepted with Scholarship
Purdue - Accepted
Wisconsin - Postponed then Accepted

bump, and thanks to everyone who replied

Should I take the ACT again or would applying earlier give me more of an advantage? Right now, I'm planning on going with my 28 score to every school except Illinois and Wisconsin.

I think you will get into all your schools with your current scores, including Illinois and Wisconsin. Just make sure to send teacher recommendations to Wisconsin - it shows you're interested.
