...chances

<p>I was never really thinking about Notre Dame but once I started looking at it recently I realized it might be a good fit for me personally, however I'm not sure what kind of chances I have at getting in. I go to a very competitive HS in NJ that sends about a dozen kids to Ivies every year.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.6 UW (no clue weighted, but all AP/IB/Honors classes)
AP/IB Classes: AP US History, AP Chem, AP English, AP Government, AP European History, AP Statistics, IB Physics, IB Psychology
SAT: 800 V 770 M 710 W
SAT II: I'm taking US History & MathIIC in October, I expect to get a 750+ for history, not so sure about math but I should crack 700
AP Tests: 5 for US History & 4 for Chem
EC: Three years mock trial (two time county champions, competed in state tournament twice), Three years newspaper (two years as editor, one as EIC), two years student council (one year as secretary), Local chapter of Heifer International Co-Founder, Four years of hockey</p>

<p>hmmm the GPA seems a bit low, but if the school is genuinely difficult and has a reputation for being so it might balance out. Example: Kids failed out of my hs and got 4.0’s at the local publics=kids w/ 3.5’s admitted to top schools from my hs. If that sounds like your high school, then I wouldn’t sweat the 3.6.</p>
