Re-take the SAT/ACT and try for a higher score. The average Fall ACT is now a 27 and likely to be higher by Fall 2008.

yah i know, thats what has me a little worried, i just suck at standardized testing

Keep working at it. Take it again after more preparation.

yah, im in the process of doing that right now

but in the meantime, will the 26 be good enough for acceptance to fsu?

Yes (10chars)

Summer session, probably. Fall semester, it's below the average, so you'd be in competition with all other Fall candidates who are the strongest of all. FSU has recently eliminated the Spring admission period and directed all those students to Fall 2008, which will likely make it the strongest class FSU has ever had, beating a distinct rise in every Fall semester for some time, which were all best records at the time.

Just don't exclude Summer admission.

I'm curious as to how your school calculates weighted GPA. My school gives 1.0 addition to honors and AP classes, but if you have a 3.65 unweighted, how can you have a 4.9 weighted? It is not possible to get a 5.0 weighted at my school because some required classes don't have an honors equivalent (PE, Health, etc..)

Some high schools are now weighting 2.0 for AP classes. That is not how FSU does it for their GPA calculation.

ah ok thanks for the explanation

Okay, if you aren't IMMEDIATELY in, I will be very suprised...

(go Red Sox!)
