Chances...

Hey, I'm a bit anxious about February 15th, so it'd help if you guys can tell me what you think about my stats.

*I went to an audition-only arts school 9th and 10th grade, and had to take 3 music classes a day, which explains why there are fewer academics those years.

And more music-related stuff that I don't feel like typing. (don't want to bore you)

Also:
-Good essay (we had to turn them in to my English Lit class and my teacher said it gave her goosebumps...the essay is light and funny.)
-Planning on majoring in physics and math, hopefully doing the honors program at UF if I'm accepted.

Additionally, I don't know if there are any advantages other than housing priority, but I applied July 2nd.

Thanks for reading!

Youre in....

99.999999999999999999999999999999% ;)

Again, with my highly scientific chance-meter:

I would say you are a 99.9%
Out of the five categories of admissions at UF (that I have in my head lol):
1. Almost guaranteed
2. Very Strong
3. Could go either way
4. Lucky to get in
5. NO WAY (unless you can run fast, hit hard, or shoot a basketball)

I would put you in the in the high 1 category. Your SAT scores are excellent (ACT even better), your courses are extremely strong, and your grades are excellent as well.

1 * You are here

2

I base my evaluation on the kids that got in from my school, but I am in no way an expert.

But really, based on the kids at my school, you are in.

Wow, that's a pretty fancy chance-meter.

And I like the results it gave me!
:-)
Thanks.

Good luck dude!!! But i think you are in!!

"Three years after university officials capped the size of the freshman class at about 6,600, competition at UF is at an all-time high, forcing admissions workers to choose among the brightest and leaving behind an unprecedented number of disappointed families. Of those who applied to be part of this fall's incoming freshman class, an estimated 42 percent were accepted -- the lowest acceptance rate in the history of the state's public schools. Selectivity at the state's top university is expected to heighten as UF continues to work toward becoming one of the nation's Top 10 public universities. It should also be noted, the Yield rate was at 57% for last year."
