What are my chances for:

-Vanderbilt
-Emory (Emory Scholars)
-Miami Ohio (Harrison Scholarship)
-Duke
-Northwestern
-Penn (Wharton)
-HYP

To be honest though ... I really just want to get in to Vanderbilt. Should I feel pretty confident about this?

vandy? yes.

Bump ... anyone else?

I wouldn't put all of your extra curriculars, only the ones that you are most passionate about. Other than that, make sure you have a spectacular essay to set you apart from all the other straight A/ NHS member/ amazing SAT/ACT score robots.

Bump ... does anyone else have any input?

You're set for Vandy, I'll bet.

Lack of APs is no problem, they will know that your school doesn't have any.

Applying for aid will probalby your chances though, accross the board. Do a lot of kids from your school apply to top notch schools? If so, then it might change a lot as well.

Will applying for aid better or hurt my chances of admission? I know that I have no shot at recieving any need-based aid.

Also, No one from my HS really applies to top schools. I doubt anyone from my HS has applied to any of those schools (except Miami) in this past decade or so. Do you think this betters my chances?

I'll give this thread one final bump before I let it die ... Does anyone else have any advice or input?
