What are my chances (safety,match,reach)?

University of Washington (in state) -

Pepperdine

Santa Clara

Loyola Marymount

University of San Diego

Boston U

U of Miami Fl

Northeastern (legacy)

Wake Forest -

Haha, hey Canes, I remember reading this thread :)
With a 25, both USC and WF are stretches. I don't know what either school's ACT averages are, but their SAT's are in the 1300's/2000's generally, sometimes below, sometimes above. A 25 is equal to about 1140 according to a conversion table (for what that's worth). You're definitely going to need to bring that up for a decent shot at either school. Washington may be okay, but you should probably find a good safe school just in case.

University of Washington (in state) - on the list, safety, but you should probably get another safety

Pepperdine – reach

Santa Clara – reach

Loyola Marymount – reach

University of San Diego – reach

Boston U – reach

U of Miami Fl – reach

Northeastern (legacy) – slight reach

Wake Forest - reach

I don't really see any real matches on the list because of test scores. Once you bring up your scores you could open a lot more doors

I remember editing your essay. How was it?
I don't think you should take all the changes, as colleges will want your voice -if that's inconsistent, then it might be an alarm.

But hopefully it helped.

Pepperdine might not be a reach. It's an amazing place, having run there recently. However, you're still at the lower end of the ACT range. But GPA is manageable, and you have a lot of APs.

I do know that Christianity is often taken pretty seriously there, in terms of both campus life and (I've heard) admissions. If that's something you're looking for, then I'd definitely apply. While I'm not Christian, I know people going there (religious and otherwise) that love it.

Wake Forest is a reach. Washington should be a low match, Pepperdine a match/high match. LMU is beautiful, too, and a wonderful place, although I don't know enough to chance you there.

I'm honestly really not sure on the others, although Boston should be a match, Northeastern a match, and Miami a slight reach.

If you can boost the ACT/SAT a little, it'll help a lot.

hm i cant say for all your schools but i would definitely say wake forest would be a reach with your act score.. have you taken the sat? their average is in the mid/low 1300s id say.. prob around 1340ish or something liek that.. and an act range of like 28-31.. so you should try to bring that up or take the act, itd give you a better shot. northeastern id say you have a good chance and i dk much ab the others sorry

University of Washington (in state) - Safety
Pepperdine – Slight Reach
Santa Clara – Slight Reach
Loyola Marymount – Match
University of San Diego – Slight Reach
Boston U – Match
U of Miami Fl – Slight Reach
Northeastern (legacy) – Match
Wake Forest - Reach

does anyone know of a possible reach i could go for (on the eastcoast, or northwest or actually whatever) that would be slightly easier for me to get into than Wake Forest???
