Chances?

I'm just wondering what my chances are of being accepted to Delaware - it's a bit of a reach school for me and I'm as to if I should even bother applying.

Extremely strong essay

I should point out that the reason my GPA is so low is that I moved to the USA from South Africa, which is currently going through a bit of an "experimental teaching" phase (plus the general standard of education is lower), halfway through my Sophomore year, and it took me quite a long time to adjust, as shown by my Gpa's pretty crazy upward trend (2.1 Soph -> 2.8 Junior -> 3.7 Senior)

^(I'll be including this information in my self-appraisal)

besides your gpa, i don't think it's a reach school at all. your sat score is extremely above average for delaware. a strong essay is good. your ECs are even better. i would assume that as long as you explain the experimental academics in South Africa (as long as it's a genuine reason for your low gpa) you should be fine. good luck!

Your SAT's show that your a very intelligent person and the explanation of the GPA makes sense. I am sure they will understand and look more closely at the 3.7. You should be accepted in my opinion.

Ditto and dunk, as in slam. You bring a lot to the Blue Hen pen. Including $$, one might speculate. Regardless, you're in, imo. No big reach unless you'd want Honors.

Wow, really?
Thanks for all your positive comments, really appreciated!
