Dear FreshPrince322 : You can probably guess what many reviewers will say about your profile if you have spent much time on the BC thread or have examined the acceptance scores from last year.

Your GPA is substantially below others that have posted on this board and have been regarded as marginal candidates. Your course load is not included in your profile, but anything less than a significant AP/IB course curriculum with your 3.3 GPA will spell death to your application. As for SAT scores, the 1850 is well below the acceptance point and sweet spot for BC.

Your community service reads as if you have done the same things for all of your High School years. While this might show commitment, I am not sure if these items are coming across well as on-going clubs/activities. For example, Christmas on Campus : would that be a year-round activity?

This might not be the review you wanted, but this will surely be a reach application for you even as part of the regular decision pool. Good luck with your college search moving forward.

Apply you never know what’s going to happen…whats your rank?

FLAG FOOTBALL!!! that is a sport?

yea its like a club sport kinda thing cause my school doesn’t have football… and my school doesnt rank

You have a shot at it but its a reach

You’ll get it in if your recommendations explain how the numbers are poor indicators of your academic ability. If you are low-income, it will help too. And since everyone here seems to ignore the most obvious, being an African-American helps quite a bit. The downside is if your parents make $400k a year, then you got some serious explaining to do.

Even if your stats don’t match with the averages on this site and BC’s averages, you should still apply - you never know. Just make sure you eloquently explain (and have teaches, counselors. etc.) explain as well why you got the grades & SAT’s you. Even with that BC is a reach for you - but I’d say go for it. As has been said many times…you can’t get in if you don’t apply!
