chances?

Thank you and congratulations to your son as well.

If you are eligible for the honors program and apply, when do you know if you are accepted to the honors program?

typically 2-3 weeks after you are accepted into Auburn.

I still got nothing from them other than the acceptance letter into the university....

you should probably call and ask.

Regarding entrance into the Honors Program, what if someone was admitted, then met the requirements at the end of first semester. When should they hear?

My son is admitted to Auburn but not yet filled out housing request. Is it too late to get a dorm room? He received the Presidential Scholarship plus another one from Engineering Dept. Also does anyone know how Auburn's engineering program is ranked nationally? Thx

He's got a pretty slim to none chance of getting dorm housing now, sorry. Men's housing has been on a waitlist since January. Don't let this discourage him from coming to Auburn, however. Only about 18% of Auburn's students live on campus due to limited housing; there are many excellent off-campus housing options around town. I encourage you to check out auburnapartmentguide.com to find something, and also contact some of the realty companies such as Northcutt, Evans, Auburn Realty, etc.

Auburn's has an excellent engineering program (some programs better than others of course). We have a particularly good Aerospace program.
Overall, AU's engineering ranked 3rd in the SEC.
Information and such here: Welcome to the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering
Auburn is the first school in the nation to offer wireless engineering, and the first school in the southeast to offer software engineering. They also just finished building a brand-new state of the art engineering technology center on campus as well.

Also, they've already sent out most if not all of the honors applications.

Just giving this thread a bump -- this forum has been pretty dead.
