Schools: JHU, Rice, UCLA, Northwestern, Wash. U. in st. louis, UPenn, Cornell, dartmouth, Rutgers.

bump ^^

any suggestions for good colleges?

unless you want to major in a specific major like bio or chem or something, you should look for schools that have 7 or 8 year med programs since you want one of those. i am almost 100% positive that rutgers doesnt and neither do some of your other schools. it looks like you're looking at some ivies and reach schools right now, so brown has a really good 8 yr med program.

also, after you've taken your sats and sat iis, you'll have a better idea.

thanks for the reply. yeah i kno about browns program, but i didnt put it down because i figured it was too high of a reach.

well, rutgers has joint ba/md programs.

it would be great to do a 7/8 yr program but any other suggestions of wat i can do?

for a premed track, your options are pretty unlimited. most schools have bio, chem, etc majors and you can do just about anything and then take the mcat to go to med school.

the advantage of the 7/8 yr programs is that you dont have to take mcats and you're automatically in at a med school.

tcnj, drexel, siena and rpi definitely have the med programs.

other schools to look at if you're looking at a 2200+ would be UMich, UChicago, Emory, Notre Dame, Berkely, Carnegie Mellon, UVa and maybe some other ivies like Princeton too.

good luck!

Thanks so much! i'll look into those schools

I was just reading a post from a couple of years back about the difference about 7/8 year programs and taking the 4 year to med school path. Its a hard decision, they both have their ups and downs.

any more chances?

bump. anyone?
