chances?

<p>hispanic female applying for engineering
gpa: 3.4 unweighted, 5.1 weighted
no class rank, but percentage: top 12% which really means top 25% :[
SAT II chemistry: 680
SAT II math level II: 580 (i know, it sucks)
SAT II english lit: 620
ACT: 31 composite, 34 english, 29 math, 30 science, 31 (i think) reading
9th grade: one AP, pre-IB
10th grade: two AP’s, pre-IB
11th grade: one AP, all IB classes
12th grade: no AP offered, all IB classes (no math because i finished IB calc in 11th and i didn’t have space in my schedule for AP Calc BC)</p>

<p>extra-curricular:
job at old navy in 11th, but it was seasonal so it only lasted 2 months
over 150 hrs of community service with disabled children and the elderly
no sports
speech/debate 9th, 10th, and 12th</p>

<p>i can’t say whether or not my essay was good, i’m sure my reccomendations are great because i just chose the right teachers haha</p>

<p>I'd say you have a pretty good chance, especially because you'll be a minority for ENG, both in gender and race. Your math scores seem kind of low for going all the way through IB Calc, but the ACT math score's not too bad.</p>

<p>Which major are you applying under? I'm a sophomore in BME if you have any other questions about the program.</p>

<p>i'm applying for aerospace.
and i know, my math scores are what worries me. i blame the low scores on me just not studying enough, and i kind of regret it now. oh well, there isn't anything i can do now anyway :/</p>
