brother graduated from there, sister going there. mentioned these in separate essay

applied EA

everything looks good except for your gpa, which looks oddly low compared to the rest of your stuff

how do you have such a high class rank with a 2.79 gpa?

What they said/asked.

is your GPA on a 3.0 scale?

4.0 scale... i go to an awful school
from freshman to senior year, about half of the class drops out on average

is it a public, private, or prep school? judging from the size, it looks like a public school

it's public
to give a better picture:
class rank 30 has a gpa of 3.1 UW
rank 8 has a gpa of 3.5 UW
rank 2 has 3.94 UW

the school is about 30% black 30% hispanic 20% white 15% asian and 5% other

to add to my first post, i also have done continuous community service at a YMCA daycare center

I think you're definitely in; your SAT combined with the rank and everything else make you a great applicant.
