Hi,

currently at Stonehill College, have a 3.9 GPA after first semester as a bio major in the honors program.

High school GPA: 3.6 unweighted (took all honors course + AP Bio and Psych, got a 5 in both)

SAT:
Math: 650
CR: 650
W: 620

A few extracurriculars from clubs and a few awards.

I did not go for an interview because I decided to apply here too late.

How are my chances and should I send my SATs?

actually it turns out I still have time to interview! If that changes anything.

Will someone please give me some insight on my chances please. btw, I forgot to say this is for transfer admission in case it sounds weird.

Also, my weighted HS GPA was around a 4.5/5

do you have SATII scores?

They'd be a good idea....

I thought Holy Cross didn't even require SAT scores and didn't weight them heavily anyway?

How are my chances without them?

Most LAC's would like to see some SAT II's. Holy Cross is considered a SAT optional school but your SAT's are decent, I would send them in. I think you've got a good shot with or without them though....

After getting An A in Biology, Calculus and Chemistry and an A- in Honors Lit and History do you think they would really prove that much to the college? I'm not objecting at all, if they really will help then I'm going to take them I just don't see what else they can prove at this time.

Have you talked with Admissions about what else would help your case? I'd be surprised if they'd ask for SAT IIs at this point, although I think they might say to send your existing SATs as they're strong enough to help. Your actual grades at Stonehill demonstrate your college abilities. Did you apply to Holy Cross originally?

I did and got waitlisted, i'm guessing it had a lot to do with not being healthy enough to go for an interview.

with an interview how is my shot looking?

Admissions says an interview is "highly recommended" which is another way of saying that it is very important to go see them. Among other things, it shows seriousness in your application. If you were waitlisted to begin with that shows that you were a competitive candidate out of high school, and your excellent performance at Stonehill can only help. I'd recommend you talk with Admissions about what they think will make your application the strongest. And be sure to provide ALL of the things that they list as required for a transfer application. I think they admit a fair number of transfer students (something else to ask Admissions about if you haven't already), so there should be a good chance for you. Think positive, and good luck!
