<p>Can someone tell me my chances on being accepted at Stanford? I'm currently a junior, so I will be applying this fall. This is an estimate of my stats by senior year.</p>

Mock Trial 3 years (advanced to regionals this year, but lost there)
Bio Club officer 3 years
Chem Club officer 2 years
Spirit Club boardmember 2 years
NHS 2 years (maybe officer position next year?)

city orchestra 3 years
regional orchestra 2 years
tennis (2 year jv hopefully 2 year v)
cross country (3 years jv - no hope of getting on v)</p>

<p>volunteer at library/tutoring. about 100 hrs as of right now.</p>
<p>You have wonderful stats and you should be proud of them. Don't get hung up on going to a particular college because admission into colleges are really subjective. You never ever know what they are looking for at that particular day. Do your best in school and that is all you can do. Do what you like to do and don't worry about what any certain college is looking for, because this always is changing. Best of luck</p>
<p>Yes, many get in with similar stats, and even more get rejected with similar and even better ones.

<p>Eh, sketchy. They say that top tier college admissions are a crap shoot, but I've heard from multiple sources that Stanford's one of the least predictable. They will routinely take legacies and prep schoolers over more qualified public-school nobodies. My stats and ec's are similar to yours, and unless I decide to go ED to Brown I'm most likely going to apply to Stanford. In short I think you should apply to Stanford but not worry about it too much. After all, if not Stanford, there's always Duke, MIT, and eight Ivy Leagues.</p>
