I have around a 3.0 and i got a 25 on the ACT. I am out of state. Do I have any chance of getting in?

im instate and i had a 3.8 and a 28 ACT and i only got in to the liberal arts school, so dont hold your breath, but id say you have a 25% chance of getting in. good luck!

Does it make a differance that I come from a very competative high school?

What was your class rank and what school did you apply to?

well my school doesnt rank because of how competative it is and it was making people who had my grades be in the lower half, and i havent applied because i am only a junior.

I would work on getting your ACT score up some or take the SAT and try to do well on that. Most students will get in with over a 1300 on CR + Math on the SAT. In-state, you will automatically be admitted with that SAT score, but I don't know about out of state.

If you decide to be in the Corps of Cadets, you could definitely be accepted.

Corps of Cadets...Army?

It's ROTC. There is no military commitment, but life in the Corps is....shall we say, intense. However, ask anyone who has done it, and persevered through that freshman year, and they will all say it's worth it and they'd do it all over again. There is a link in one of the other A&M threads to a site for info on the Corps and admissions. Here's a video you might like to watch about it:
YouTube - Corps of Cadets
Watch the video even if you aren't interested in joining the Corps, as it gives you a flavor of the university since the Corps is a big part of Aggieland.

woswill, i was 135/947 and i go to cy-fair which is really competitive. i applied to the business school and the liberal arts school, i applied to the LAS just to make sure i actually got in
