What are my chances of being accepted with a below average SAT score? I am taking the ACT in hopes of rekindling any chance. I have plenty of ECs and my grades are great. All a's and my GPA is 3.95 U.W., 4.32 W. I am in the to 2-3%. How much will my SAT scores lower my chances?

This year's decisions barely came out. November is 8 months away.

I can't say what a low SAT score will do decision outcomes are completely unpredictable. Just do your best with the ACT, or take the SAT again.

Definitely take the ACT. I was accepted with a 1760 SAT and a 30 ACT and I think this is what saved me. I also have a 4.3 Weighted GPA. From this years decisions, it seems that GPA was more important than SAT, so you have that going for you. But yeah, definitely take the ACT and I think you will see a difference in the scores you get.

I really don't think SATs are all that important for UCLA

my friend with a ~1900, but 4.0 unweighted GPA got in but not my other friend who has 2280 and 3.7 unweighted GPA.

I've also heard of many cases of low SATs who got in.

because GPA is a collective effort throughout the year, a person might have a huge headache one day, that day he might screw up on SAT but one day of headache isn't going to affect his GPA
