I was wondering what the people around here thought about my chances of getting into MIT, since noone in my city knows jack about anything other than the local universities.

GPA: 4.0 Unweighted

Sat2:
Math IC: 760
Math IIC: 800
Writing: 770
Chemistry: Taking soon
Literature: Taking

AP:
Calculus: 5

Extracurricular: Head of a few clubs, Member of a few clubs.
Treasurer for our schools National Honor Society club probably being the only important one

Varsity CrossCountry and Track

Team leader for a successful FIRST Robotics Team

Volunteer for a few things blah blah blah

My application interview went pretty well I think, I don't want to brag by any means but I'm very good at dealing with people and am come off well (for example, I was elected team leader for the robotics team at a high school I don't attend after only having gone to their meetings for two weeks). I'm also pretty good at writing, which my AP score doesn't reflect well since i took the test 6 months after taking the class (and the class was a joke anyway). That said I think my essay will work well, though I guess i'm no the judge of that.

My SAT I scores are significantly lower than they could have been because I tended to rush through too fast and get caught on the things the ETS set out to trick people. I know all of the material and i'm sure that if I took it in a different environment I could get a 1500+ no question, but I just can't put up with that f**king test.

I've always taken the most challenging courses our school offers but going to the poor inner city school hasn't helped. Good mix of AP and Honors classes though, no regular except for Health and Weights and that kinda stuff.

Anyways, i'd appreciate any insight that people have. It's definitely my dream school and i'm doing Early App and everything else I can think of to get an edge, and would be willing to hear any other suggestions.

One problem I have is on my science SATII. I'm signed up to take chemistry this saturday but i haven't been in a chemistry class for almost a year (i know, i know, I should have taken it a long time ago). I've just recently heard that chemistry is a BITCH and would be interested to know what my best bet would be for pulling a decent score with rudimentary knowledge. I took biology about 2 years ago and i'm not taking physics until the end of the year, but the school wants me to take the test no later than november :(

I've been cramming for Chemistry for the last week or so and have a decent grasp on it all so i'm guessing that would be my best bet, but I really don't know anything about these tests.

Last question, a friend of mine told me that i'd be better off NOT taking the literature test than taking it and risking a bad (650-700) score. I'm guessing literature is probably my weakest point (i don't care much for all this analysis stuff) judging from my prior tests, but I think i could do good on it. Should I take it? And if not what should I do, retake another test i've already done good on just for fun?

Thanks everyone who read down to this point, both of you, for your help. I apologize for rambling but just thinking about all this stuff has spawned a butterfly colony in my digestive system.
