Freshman year – Math A Honors, Earth Science Honors, Global Hist Honors, Spanish II Honors
Sophomore year – AP Biology, AP World History, Math B Honors, English Honors, Spanish III Honors
Junior year – AP Chemistry, AP US History, AP Spanish IV, AP English Language & Composition, AP Statistics, Pre-Calculus Honors
What I’ll be taking my senior year – AP Physics B, AP US Gov & Politics, PA English 12 (I decided not to take AP English Language & Composition because the PA class is a lot of writing – something which I prefer to a lot of reading), AP Calculus BC, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and I don’t have room in my schedule for AP Spanish V.

7 APs so far, and 12 APs by end of senior year

Also, I recently got accepted into Walnut Hill’s Writing Program in Dublin for this summer.

*Correction - I meant that I decided not to take AP English literature.

The fact that you're even posting your stats on CC (and are even on CC) is one factor for why you're likely to get in. You are very strong academically, and my guess is that you'll work very hard to perfect your application.

If you haven't already, begin writing your essay in order to perfect it, particularly the "Why Wellesley" essay. Think about doing an interview, too. Be sure to also demonstrate continued interest with the school by visiting if you can, going to any local alumni events or what not.

Good luck!

You're definitely a very strong applicant. Your school course load and test scores look are sufficiently impressive and your ECs are a lot stronger than mine. Be sure to emphasize certain passions in your application. I had a writing/art theme to my application.

Congratulations on the Walnut Hill program! It's pretty competitive right? Oy I'm jealous! It sounds amazing!

One last thing -- the fact that you're asian could actually work in your favor at a school like Wellesley. They like asians. ;)

thanks catsushi and verbivorous.

haha if that certainly is the case (regarding Wellesley favoring asians), i feel a bit better about my chances. and i'll definitely begin the "Why Wellesley" essay very soon. thanks for the advice.

stasis, if you can visit Wellesley, please do when you can. If you get invitations to alumni receptions in your area, do attend. And do not forget to fill out those little cards :) Small selective colleges, and especially women's colleges, love to be loved. You look like a Wellesley lady to me. Good luck!

thank you, BunsenBurner. i'll keep that in mind! :]
