Chances?

<p>UCSD is by far my first choice. I live 20min away and I would be living at home. I'm currently a Junior and looking to go into cognitive neuroscience</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9?
Rank: around 10 - 15 out of 500
SAT: 720 CR, 780 Math, 680 Writing. (1st time, will retake)
SAT II: Biology and Math II - just took them yesterday</p>

French 5/6
AP Biology
AP Physics C: Mech
AP Calculus A/B</p>

<p>Senior schedule:
British Literature
AP Gov/Econ
AP Chemistry
AP French 7/8
Biotech/Intern</p>

<p>ECs:
Varsity Waterpolo
Varsity Swim
Co-founder and vice president of Red Cross Club at my high school (2yrs)
National Honor Society
California Scholarship Federation
Science Club (1yr)
Worked as a tutor at a middle school (2yrs)
Have interned in a Chemistry lab (50hrs experience)
[will intern senior year at least 60 hrs in bio lab]
50+ hours community service</p>

<p>Do I have a chance?
If not, what might you suggest?</p>

<p>You should have no trouble getting in.
I got in with similar stats as you:
3.8 Weighted GPA, 7 AP courses, similar ECs (WATER POLO FTW!!!), and a slightly higher SAT score (2210; 700 CR, 780 M, 730 W). As long as your SAT II scores are in the 750-800 area, you’re good to go IMO. (I got a 790 in Math IIC and a 770 in Chem)</p>
